Cenote Excursion: A Cenote is a natural pool of water resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater, creating the perfect exotic swimming pool. Come with us to Echo Park to see two Cenotes. One is an underground cave where you can swim in the sacred waters of the Mayan people, the other is an older Cenote where we can test our fears as we jump into the unknown. Tulum Ruins

Two hours away south of Puerto Morelos is Tulum, one of the main ceremonial centers of the ancient Mayans. Today, the archeological site is one of the more visited locations of the Riviera Maya.

Chicen Itza

The Mayan city of Chichen Itza is the jewel of the archeological sites in the Yucatan peninsula. Considered one of the modern Seven Wonders of the World, Chichen Itza’s more famous landmark is the main pyramid call “El Castillo.” There is also a sacred Cenote on the site where ancient Mayans used to do sacrifices. It’s 3 hours’ drive from Puerto Morelos, but visits can include a stop in the colonial town of Valladolid, where excellent Yucatecan food can be found.

Ek Balam

Ek ́ Balam is one of the ancient, better and more recently restored Mayan cities in the area. You can rent a bike to ride across the jungle, go on top of the main pyramid and visit a refreshing Cenote full of geological formations and a very fun zipline. It’s only a 2-hour drive from Puerto Morelos, and on the way, you can also visit the colonial town of Valladolid.

Cobá

The Coba Archaeological Site is one of the most amazing Mayan ruins you will find in the Yucatan Peninsula. This is a place you should visit when taking a vacation in the Yucatan Peninsula. Coba's urban sprawl covered during its heyday (750 AD) a total area of about 40 square miles and is one of the Mayan cities built in the Peten style characteristic of the late Classic period.

Muyil

Muyil is located within the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve 25 minutes south of Tulum and has been on the UNESCO World Heritage Site list since 1987. Our visit includes a 45 minute to 1-hour tour at Muyil's archaeological zone where you can see abundant and exuberant flora and sometimes the visits of spider and howler monkeys. The tour continues through two lagoons by boat until you reach a canal made by the ancient Mayas and flanked by mangroves. You will continue the tour floating in crystal clear fresh waters and carried by the gentle current from the lagoons, a relaxing and energizing experience that stimulates all our senses.

Cacao Ceremony:

This is a ceremony of gratitude with the medicine wheel and the energy of the elements. The Mayans used to give thanks for the harvest by drinking cacao which is a very powerful nutrient and has antioxidant effects in the cells providing a lot of energy. This increases the energetic field of our hearts. This ceremony is helpful for getting clarity, inner-processing and doing healing work with ourselves, increased vitality, enhanced intuition and empathy with a more open heart. It is a medicinal and healing experience for your body, mind and spirit.
